The pace picks up

Last week I wrote about opening Fast up to a wider group of testers. A week later, the feedback has kept coming, and it's been driving most of what I've worked on. Some of it is big new features. A lot of it is making things that already existed work better.

Here's what changed.

Sight Marks

Biggest change

The sight marks page got a proper overhaul this week. The old layout had metric and imperial filters that felt clunky, and the estimation tool was hidden behind a modal that broke your flow. Neither of those things exist any more.

Sight marks grouped by equipment set, with distance range sliders to filter what you see.

Now your sight marks are grouped by equipment set, with your active set pinned to the top. Distance range sliders let you quickly narrow down to the distances you care about.

The estimation tool now sits inline in the add-mark form instead of hiding behind a separate modal. It uses a quadratic fit filtered by your current equipment, so the estimates are based on your actual sight mark data for that specific bow. The maths is better, and the workflow is smoother.

Barebow and longbow archers don't use sights, but they still need somewhere to record string-walking marks and other distance notes. There's now a notes tab on the sight mark modal for exactly this.

Full details in the sight marks help guide.

CSV Export

I don't want anyone to be locked into Fast, and early on I made the data exportable in a format called "JSON". Image sharing is also great for showing off a scoresheet, but if you want to do your own analysis in a spreadsheet, you need the raw numbers.

The Export CSV button sits alongside your other history tools. One tap to get your data into a spreadsheet.

You can now export your shoot history to CSV, including hits, golds, equipment used, weather conditions, and shoot duration. Equipment sets can be exported too. It's all available from the history and equipment pages.

Scorecard improvements

A few things landed in the scorecard and shoot view this week that individually feel small but together make a real difference.

AGB and World Archery scoresheets. You can now toggle between AGB and World Archery scoresheet layouts when viewing a completed shoot. Before, you could only do this switch whilst scoring.

The shoot view now includes scoresheet format toggle and weather conditions at a glance.

Personal best highlighted on the end total chart. Your PB shoot now appears as a bold line on the end total chart, so you can see at a glance how a shoot compared to your best effort on that round.

Weather recording. You can see the conditions section in the screenshot above. Wind, gusts, direction, rain: record it all so you can look back and see how conditions affected your scores.

Collapsible equipment section. The equipment details on the shoot view can now be collapsed to save screen space. Small thing, but it matters on a phone screen.

Outdoor Season 2026

Outdoor season is here, and so are the achievements for it. You can only claim them from April 1st till the end of September this year

Bug fixes

What's next

The outdoor season is picking up, which means more archers shooting more rounds and generating more feedback. With any luck, Google will clear me to "send to production" and then Fast can finally be listed on the Play Store for everyone to see.

If you're testing and something feels off, reach out. My email is "quii" at "hey.com". Every bit of feedback makes the app better for everyone.

Thanks to everyone who's offered your suggestions so far, its been a huge help.
